So some of you may remember my dragon Methalous http://armaina.artspots.com/image/16849/methalous-reference I've had him around for some time, as long as DJ and Dayma... though I actually never had any definitive concept for the Metcele dragon species, only some sort of general concept. Soo, I've finally gotten around to figuring it out and also deciding on exactly what their patterns would be. I'm pretty happy with this in general. So this was a reference I did for my boyfriend, Code Zer0, of his character Shera. For clarification she's an Albino Houndoom (white fur, red eyes ect, I hoped that would give it away haha) So no it's not my character, it's my boyfriend's character and I enjoy drawing his characters. Whee. Yeah all of the stats and information on the reference sheet are from him. Houndoom are pokémon, yo but the art is still mine :E (I feel my anatomy has been greatly improving)

So FINALLY did a new reference for Truda. It's been too long since I re-did her's and it really did need it. I adore Truda, I'm kinda sad that I don't seem to get the chance to use her as much D: Anywho I will admit, this was a little rushed, I really got lazy on the feet.. heh.. and some of the anatomy is a little odd. But it's still way better than the previous ref. Sauristans are a species of mine yanno :D

Sygan Rerference by Armaina

So Sygan has never had a reference so I decided to do one of him since I re-did Dayma's I mean, why not? hehe. I also made a few slight changes, related to the stripes. Originally he just had solid sripes down his back, but I decided to just do a little more to it. I also added stripes to the outsides to the wings, which he never had them there before. Personally, I like the updates, it works. There are a lot of specifics though that are related to the general Gemhorn ref, so I would take a look at that as well if you're curious

Dayma Reference by Armaina

Well I thought it was about time that I updated Dayma's ref from the previous one I had. Yes I used the same line work as the one for the general Gemhorn reference, though I re-did some of the lines a bit. There are a lot of specifics though that are related to the general Gemhorn ref, so I would take a look at that as well if you're curious

Methalous Reference by Armaina

This is a new reference to replace the old one Aside from the back that I've really improved in my anatomy, I've also altered a few things about the Metcele dragon in general, such as the 'fin' at the base of the tail and tip of the tail. Build was changed a bit through, unlike DJ and my gemhorns, (who have a more mammal anatomy) gave them something looking more like a lizard kinda with a saurian flavor. He's one of my oldest characters, and one of the only that I've changed at all, he just... needed something, and I think it really worked. Metcele dragons are mine and all, I need to do a general ref for them.

So! I've finally gotten around to drawing a new ref for DJ. I never liked the anatomy in the old one. I think she's also about 10 years old now. (the Gemhorn dragons came first) Pretty basic, I think, finally have a proper size reference. The size on the old one well, I really didn't calculate it correctly, so it's all wrong. She's so big I have nothing to really get relative sizes from, other than some dinosaurs. Drawn and colored in openCanvas 3, but text and such was done in Photoshop

Froslass Gijinka Costume by Armaina

You know, for as simple as this is, I really like the way the anatomy tuned out on it. Aside from some errors here and there, it's really good I think. Honestly, I really want to make more gijinka costumes, I've kinda wanted to for some time now. Anywho, going to talk with my mom about it, I don't think it'll be too hard, and the stuff that takes more time I can do. Like the mask I'm gonna see if maybe we have some stuff to make the mask all icey, or if she knows someone that can help. Maybe make the outfit look icey too? Now to get some newer style Geta Sandals and Tabi It will be made out of Charmeuse Silk [link] the blue patterns on the sleeves will be painted with dye, and the mask will be made out of Fossshape

Gemhorn Dragon Species Ref by Armaina

THIS IS THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE GEMHORN DRAGON I drew the first one, Dayma, back in 1997 http://silverdragondesign.com/archive/1997/97-11.jpg (yep, here it is) and now, 10 years later, I've worked on it and defined it as a species, rather than what it used to be (it used to be 'any dragon with a gem-like horn.. I've of course, elaborated since) So's you all know, this is an 'open species' As long as you give me credit, or heck, just link back to the ref, you are more than welcome to create a Gemhorn of your own. Another one I've had hanging around my computer that I never uploaded porperly this was done months ago, I just fixed it up and made a ref out of it I really love my Taithal species So I figured I draw myself as one they's my desert dwelling critters. I guess this could also make a good ref for other taithal characters (you know, if any of you wanted to make one >_> ) FYI: Fur colors are 'natural' colors only, like any other mammal, where as the scales can be a rainbow of colors, like fish. yep. fantasy category because the species is made up. so there.

so FINALLY after drawing her so many freakn times, finally got something that didn't look bad that I inked. This is uh, mewtwo Armaina, which is basically pokemon trainer armaina (which is pretty much me as a pokemon trainer lol self-insert).. spliced into a two woot! seriously though, her design is very simple, I'm not a complicated person. yeah she's a bit more mew-ish, hense the thinner tail and legs ect. inked and colored in oC 3+ mewtwo is property of nintendo and all that.

SO Finally got around to finishing this.. TOOK ME LONG ENOUGH it's a BIG step up from my previous ref, some minor things changed (a few things omitted that is) The Description itself was written by Zer0 Yey Mewtwos! This was fully inked in Open Canvas, and quick colored in Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Mewtwo belongs to Nintendo Code Zer0 is belonging to himself the Art is mine ^-^
